Highlighting CES's Young Artists
CLARKSVILLE ELEMENTARY FALL 2009 ART PROJECTS

Kindergarten created beautiful fall colored trees by using tempera paint to brighten up the hallways. They used their fingers to help create the leaves.

1st Grade created their own Very Hungry Catterpillars just like Author and Illustrator, Eric Carle. They learned about Eric Carle's ways to make textures in paint using various art tools.

2nd Grade learned about symmetry and ways to create a fall reflection painting. They used pastels, watercolors and tempera paint to create these vibrant fall paintings.

3rd Graders learned about Vincent Van Gogh and his unique painting style. They used pastels and crayons rubbings to create their own version of his famous painting entitled, "Sunflowers".

4th Grade created pencil drawing of trees and added lines for texture on the bark. They then pulled a few fall colored prints from leaf stamps using water soluable ink.

5th Grade learned how to create an illusion of distance by overlapping pumpkins and gourds. They painted the pumpkins by mixing their own colors and also painted night or day skies in their paintings to help accent their fall pumpkins.
GREAT JOB CES STUDENTS!
