Writer's Showcase

Get Ready to Write!  We encourage students to write for specific purposes by first teaching to write for the purpose and then giving the students opportunities to write during Schoolwide Writing Prompts.  Teachers choose two students each month to display their work in the Writer's Showcases in the hall as models of good writing.  Ask your students about the following purposes each month: 

November - Descriptive   /   January - Expository   /   February - Persuasive

March - Narrative   /   April - Creative Writing
